Name:
Location: Crescent City, Fl, United States

I am 60, have MS, am an avid cook, love making candles (soy) and watching the endless parade of Nature outside my home. I treat the MS with supplements and LDN, I do not use any of the C.R.A.B. MS meds, we don't get along well. I was married for 13 years, we were together for 15. We are now divorced. Sad, that. I do still love him, but ONLY as the father of my baby. Better to keep it civil, hurts the child(ren) less that way, but is oh-so-hard to do sometimes.

He's Number 1!

I am so proud on my Hunny...Rob, aside from private readings, also reads for a line called AskNow. They have over 2,000 readers and Rob is the #1 reader! If you want to read some of his feedback, see here: AskNow
People are raving about him, and I agree. I must admit, some of the feedback makes me want to let them know he's married LOL, like the ones that want to hug him (or date him) or call him *their* twinflame (he's MY twinflame!) but that's ok, it's all due to him being as charismatic as he is, he can't help that, that's just the way he is. In his profile he can't put things like married status or kids, that's too personal...so they don't even know there IS a "Mrs. Rob". However, we're so far out in the boonies that even if he gave them directions they'd never find him ROFL...so I'm not worried, let them fantasize. I think part of it is that fabulous photo of his, taken by a friend when I was preggers with Robbin. Yes, the photo is 10 years old, but he hasn't changed at all. Funny thing is, the photo was supposed to be of the pendant he's wearing. The friend who took the photo, made the pendent and wanted a picture of it. He was "modeling" the piece. Somehow, she managed to capture the essence of the man, better then any other photo of him I've seen. I love that photo!
Well, enough bragging...I'm just so proud of him! He helps so many people through that line...and that is what LightWorkers DO!

BBB

I wrote a complaint to the BBB about vonage. Hopefully it will bring results. Meantime, More life on the farm...our chicks arrived!!!! and they are SO cute! And we've gotten 3 rabbits, a big brown buck, Rob named Chester, a Silver Martin female, Rob named Brunhilda, and a black NZ/cal mix, Rob named Helga. The lesson here? Never let your DH name critters. We're still looking for a goat..
And...We got a new bed!!! we've been sleeping on a boxspring with a futon mat...most uncomfortable...I've been in a lot of pain, never getting comfy or a good night's sleep. Well, a friend was visiting and mentioned that she was going to have a garage sale...she saw me checking my eBay auctions, I was looking for a topper for the futon mat to make it more comfy, and she told me she had a queen bed in her garage for her sale....so, I whipped out the ol' checkbook and the bed never made it to the sale! Rob followed them home and came back with it, and set it up. Now sleeping means actually getting some rest! She also had some tops that fit me, so I've been able to replace some of the clothes accidentally left behind YAY
I found out that ALL of the hummingbirds here are Ruby-throat. Cool!

Vonage

It would be difficult for me to be angrier then I am right now. We had Vonage, but it was not working for us because we could not hear people, nor could they hear us. So we called to cancel. And you know what they are trying to do? Charge us almost $100 for canceling!! I NEVER signed anything saying there was any kind of time contract, I wouldn't, I hate those. Show me MY signature! So I emptied out the account before they could get it, and will close it as soon as I have an account set up in another bank. which I will have in a few minutes. They have NO right to do that! It would be one thing if we were canceling just because, but we can't USE the service, so they try to extort us because we don't want to pay for a service we can't use? Isn't that illegal? She said if they can't collect it they'll send me to a collection agency, I said bring it on, at least then I will have a basis to deny. I am also going to call the BBB and report them.
*gggrrrrrr*
I better go calm down, stress and MS, not a good combination.

Another pic of KaliKa
Posted by Picasa

This is KaliKa, newest addition to the group. She is one of the cats abandoned here. They were abandoned last January, How they survuved is beyond me. They must be good hunters! Which is a plus, to be sure...when I say "they" it is because there were two, we haven't seen the other one. I hope it is Ok and we meet someday. Meantime, as you can see, we have managed to befriend this sweet little girl (barely a kitten herself!). Isn't she pretty?

Partial frontyard view . Yes there is some of the trash there, that will all be taken care of, eventually (we've only been here a month, this will take time).

This is to show how tall Robbin has gotten. Yes, we are both standing . Stop laughing!

More Gardern

At the base of the tiers is a bigger garden, which will go to tomatoes and things like squash and all...there is a lonely eggplant plant there already, and one of the tomato thingys has a cherry tomato plant already. The ghouls are our scarecrow, they blow in the wind. There is also a stand with windchimes in the middle. The futon frame in the back is part ofone of the rubbish piles that we're working on getting rid of.

Garden

For Mother's Day Rob made me a terraced garden. We don't have very many plants in as yet, but it is very early in the planting season. the plant on te top tier is a Lavender, what you can't really see ia there is a rose bush on ither side. There are also 6 diferent peppers (bottom tier) and w strawberry plants (second tier) the nest two are still empty, and the next to the top has mint on the left and flat-leaf parsley on the right.

The Three Little Kittens

There are three very healthy, HUGE babies Rob is calling them Winkin', Blinken' and Nod. Nod is the silver one. Of the two yellow ones, one is actually quite lighter in color then the other, almost beige. Nod is quite silver, maybe a few orangy spots, hard to tell yet, they're so new :-) But as you can see, very healthy and quite active! Proud Mommy!! And We are SO proud of our little Phoenix, do you remember the photo I took when we first found her? She wasn't much bigger then these guys, starving, malnourished and totally ferrell! Now she's a purring, Happy Mommy!

Phoenix this morning

Happy Happy Mommy!

Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

Well, we're here, we're up, we're in, we're unpacked, and we're electronically reconnected!
Aside from a major case of nerves when we left, the trip went smoothly. Oh, and the Quantum Mechanics assistance...you see, the van was making weird sounds and even lost power for a few seconds, on the Penna turnpike no less...Rob asked his guides to please help fix the problem. The van motor roared a couple of times, settled down, and the rest of the ride went smooth as glass. Meantime I was doing some hefty praying myself...I was very nervous, I think it was because I was leaving my "safe place" for the unknown.
Upper Michigan is awesome! The bridge we crossed was 5 miles and the day was crystal clear, it was an experience I won't soon forget! The lakes were blue glass...awesome!
We got here at about 5:30. While the house was what we expected (we'd seen photos), the yard was not. Seems that when the owners left (lovely lady BTW) some friends moved in. They totally, and I mean TOTALLY, trashed the place! A neighbor had cleaned the house itself (took out over 20 bags of garbage, they'd even left their dirty laundry right where it lay), but didn't have time for the yard. Which is as it should be, what she already did was beyond friendship! It's our mess now. Rob is getting it cleaned up, bit by bit, it is a daunting task, even for him! There are literally tons of rusting metal, from car parts to snowblowers to engine blocks to...to...to...Not to mention a ton of wood (which is good since it is wood heated, that will all be put to use), but by far the worst...they walked away and left their animals to die! The dogs and goats were rescued, we've started feeding and befriending one of the cats (there are two, haven't seen the second one) but the chickens and the rabbits all died, and there is something rotting in the freezer in the barn (a goat? a deer? hard to tell and I, for one, am not looking further into it!) Rob said it was maggot ridden and the stench was horrible, that is enough info for ME!
There is a field on either side of the property, one I don't know if they'll hay or what, we haven't seen anyone there, the other has cows in the morning and is all grass. We're heard grouse, turkeys, wolves, fox, coyote, seen Eagles (including a Bald Eagle eating something right beside the road!) There are apple trees, and they're budding out already. We've ordered 25 Brahman pullets, the big breeds like that lay their eggs all year (most chickens stop laying in winter) and with their size they weather the cold much better then smaller breeds...and they lay HUGE eggs! Got to locate some rabbits, oh, and Phoenix is heavily pregnant!
Because they just walked out and left, some of the pipes in the basement froze and broke, Rob replaced them, we also had to replace the hot water heater and will have to replace the circulator pump on the outside wood heater. Rob also did find a big woodstove in one of the two old mobiles on the property, brought it in and installed it, so white the one stove doesn't work, the other one is doing an awesome job of keeping us warm!
the house is considerably smaller then our *old* place, but then again that place was HUGE, this is much more "manageable", the downstairs is a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, nice layout, very practical. I love the walls, they're cordwood and 16" thick! The upstairs is a workshop and a big room, now Robbin's bedroom/study. There is a nice porch, another porch downstairs, and even a playground! With swings and a "fort" for Robbin to play in. While one of the mobiles is falling down, the other has been converted into a barn, chicken coops already there, just waiting for the pullets to arrive!
And the best thing...the air is SO clear, the water cold and clean (the water where we were was sulpher and nasty) the stars at night AWESOME, and it is QUIET. All I hear is windchimes and birdsong (and critters galore) NO traffic, NO trains!
And we've already had a visitor, one of my friends from an MS group, who happens to live only about 15 miles away! She brought a friend, we all hit it off really well, nice to have friends!
Well, I guess that's enough of an update for today!
