I am 60, have MS, am an avid cook, love making candles (soy) and watching the endless parade of Nature outside my home. I treat the MS with supplements and LDN, I do not use any of the C.R.A.B. MS meds, we don't get along well. I was married for 13 years, we were together for 15. We are now divorced. Sad, that. I do still love him, but ONLY as the father of my baby. Better to keep it civil, hurts the child(ren) less that way, but is oh-so-hard to do sometimes.

Hahaha

Now I've got people leaving comments on the comments other people leave!! TOO funny!!! I guess SPAM is a bit of a hot button, eh?
Well we're finally getting snow, and quite a bit of it, too. Rob has to go in to work tonight, I'll worry about him, but I know he learned to drive in snow so he's an old hand at it, it's the rest of 'em out there I worry about... It IS pretty :-) I just hope we don't get the ice they were predicting...nasty stuff unless it's in a cocktail. The guineas roost in a tree, and have not come down all day, nor has the rooster that sleeps up there with them, and I don't believe a single chicken has ventured from the henhouse...

SPAM

I don't know about you, but I like Spam. NOT the stuff that comes to my inbox, the strange pink stuff we eat. I got some today while shopping, always good to have a can on hand for emergencies...So, it is Rob's gaming night and I got out a box of mac 'n cheese, since Robbin and I are *it* for dinner I thought I'd cater to 9-year-old tastes. Robbin just went into the kitchen and saw the ingredients for dinner (mac 'n cheese with cubed Spam) and I thought he was going to explode, or implode, with pure joy!!! My Father was a Navy Commander, is buried in Arlington, and was shot down several times. The ONLY thing he would not eat after floating in enemy waters for a week, existing on raw fish (of course now Sushi is expensive LOL) and a raw seagull he was able to shoot, was....SPAM. Wouldn't touch it. They told him if he was shot down one more time they'd declare him a Japanese ace ROFL!
I guess I must have a touch of Hawaiian in me somewhere as they are the world's biggest consumers of Spam.
Oh, and mac 'n cheese, other things I add from time to time are: a can or corn, or a can of diced tomatoes. And I always bake it.
Snow...we used to live in Watertown, Robbin was born there, and I am SO SO SO glad we're not there now!!! We also lived in Rome, another place that is buried in snow right now. Rob was born in Central Square, right outside of Syracuse, so our "history" from that area is long, but I'm glad we're missing this particular event...we had the ice storm of '98 when Robbin was 3 months old, went without power for 21 days. We had to go to Rob's Grandmother's place in Syracuse to make it through, especially with an infant...SO nice to be in WV right now! :-)
Anna Nicole...seems death really does bring out the ugly in people. eh? That poor little baby...

Winter!

Wow! I am watching the snow reports from NYS, right where we used to live, they are getting pounded big time! Amazing amounts of snow, snow and more snow, some areas up to 100"!!! Here in WV we have been having a very mild winter, of late it has been very cold but next week it should be back up to normal...just hoping I can hold out with groceries until then, I really don't want to go out when it is that cold...but Thank the Powers-That-Be that we're not getting the snow!
Our new doggie is wonderful, you would not know that she hadn't been with us all along, she fits right in. The cats have decided that she is no threat and accepted her, well, as much as cats CAN accept a dog, they bring such a superior race, as Any cat will tell you...We're changing her name though, the one she came with just doesn't seem to fit...I think Mitzi will stick, though, it fits her. We used to have a rottie mix with that name, and she is very much like a smaller version, even similar coloring.
I am saddened by the death of Anna Nicole. Tragic, really, and I really feel sad for that little baby girl that SO much controversy will now fly around. Even Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband is stepping in to say HE's the dad...I wonder if Zsa Zsa knew he was having an affair? She does now, and so does the rest of the world. How sad.
I don't need an autopsy to know she died of a broken heart.

Boarder

We wish our ex-boarder all the Luck in the world, he is in the process of moving out and in with his GF! This is always such a special time in one's life...all new beginnings, new horizons...starting out with a clean slate and the whole world your oyster...
The house will be a bit emptier now...
Except that we just got a dog!!! And a wonderful doggie at that!!! She is part Border Collie (What, one "Boarder" out, one in?) and, well they say part Lab, but I don't see any Lab in her, Dobie, yes, definitely, the longer narrow face, the coloring...when I get my camera fixed or replaced I promise pictures...she is a professional with the ol' puppy-dog eyes, too! She sleeps on our bed and alerts me to what is going on...when Robbin comes down in the morning, when Rob gets home...
Gets home you say? Yai, he took a job with Unkle Mikey doing nighttime floor maintenance at fedex. Leaves right after tucking Robbin into bed, comes home at about the time Robbin arises...Yes, he does sleep during the day, TG doggie is not a barky dog. Oh, her name is Indo.
His schedule will involve 4 nights, and 1 daytime shift. Not bad, and very workable with our schedule at home.
Guess that's it for now...
