Location: Crescent City, Fl, United States

I am 60, have MS, am an avid cook, love making candles (soy) and watching the endless parade of Nature outside my home. I treat the MS with supplements and LDN, I do not use any of the C.R.A.B. MS meds, we don't get along well. I was married for 13 years, we were together for 15. We are now divorced. Sad, that. I do still love him, but ONLY as the father of my baby. Better to keep it civil, hurts the child(ren) less that way, but is oh-so-hard to do sometimes.

closer Staff Photo

You can see the Horse-Carry-Money better here, the Quan-Yin is turning her face away, the basket riding on top of her is filled with small Herkimer Diamonds, you can see two "Thors Hammer's", one with a small amber cabochon, one out of Damascus, the carving was made my Unkle Mikey, it is an Inuit design Posted by Picasa

My walking staff (would that make this a staff photo?)

My staff is a 5' tall "stick" I found near the Olympia National forest, while we were camping at Black Lake, about 15 years ago. It changes from time to time, the shiny bronze roundish thingy is a Horse-Carry-Money that Rob made for me for Valentine's day, the green carving is a Quan-Yin in green jade, the "globe" has bells in it so I jingle-jangle as I walk, the other things you really need to be closer to see. Posted by Picasa

knee

Well it seems I'm in for a ride, in more ways then one. For one, the Dr's are going to try to get me a scooter or chair. For another, I'm going to the Ortho next month, seems my right knee has something "beyond neurological" wrong with it. All I know is I can hardly walk anymore on it, the pain is terrible. The other night it was SO bad I was literally screaming in pain, I took a flexoril to try to mitigate it, no use, finally Rob wanted to take me to the ER but I refused to go, it was a very cold night and I was Not going to wake up my son to go wait in a sitting room while they figured out that there was nothing they could do. So out of frustration Rob gave me two..TWO...vicodin, well, within 20 mins I was asleep. But the pain persists. If I just sit and try to not use it, the pain is manageable. I do have to take extra neurontin to help, still nowhere near the allowed dosage though. Heck if I took the recommended dosage I would not be able to type this, to be sure!
I've gone on to eBay and got a magnetic knee brace on the way, and an ankle brace, since I am pretty sure that part of the reason that the knee is injured has to do with my right foot/ankle pronating So badly that it looks almost like I am walking on the ankle! I think that is throwing the knee off to the point of injury. The left leg, TG, is fine. The right calf is atrophying visibly. I think, heck I'm pretty sure, they're going to want to do surgery, but on what I am not sure, the ankle? the knee? both? neither? My appointment is March 20th, I am hoping the braces will help me get through till then.
Whether or not this is MS related, well, even the Neuro didn't know the answer to that. Maybe the ortho will?
Ortho....sounds like something to make your grass grow...

chat?

Yee Gawds is there no such thing as a *real* chat room anymore?

See me, Fear me!

The other day going into town we were cut off by another driver. So, I did something I Never do, but was aggravated enough to do this time, I gave him the finger. Problem is, I gave the *wrong* finger. I flipped him the INDEX finger!!!! Rob is still laughing.
Well, we were on the way to wally-world (walmart) and I finally gave in and used a cart. Fear me!!! I was the terror of the isles!! For some reason people are extra polite to someone in those chariots. Might not be so bad after all....

SNOW!!!

Our first snow in our new home!!! It is SO Currier & Ives out there right now! It is really beautiful, and so is the fire in the fireplace!!!
We have GOT to find a new roomate sometime soon...actually, been working on just that, someone Spiritual minded and compatible. Jimmy's arrogance and Better-then everyone-else attitude are wearing very thin. I have NO idea how Patty tolerated him for 25 years!!! All Jimmy believes in are money, sex, drugs, beer and the *F* word, without which he would be totally unable to talk. NOT a suitable person to have around my son. He did seem to be getting over it a bit, which is why we went into this with him, but he is now getting SO intolerable I can't even be in the same room with him. We got into a "discussion" and he stressed me out SO badly I went into a full MS exascerbation, took three days to get over. We do Not need that here. He is talking about bailing, anyway, and I for one willl not even try to stop him! Let's just say he IS VERY replaceable.
