About Me
- Name: Yoda Mamma
- Location: Crescent City, Fl, United States
I am 60, have MS, am an avid cook, love making candles (soy) and watching the endless parade of Nature outside my home. I treat the MS with supplements and LDN, I do not use any of the C.R.A.B. MS meds, we don't get along well. I was married for 13 years, we were together for 15. We are now divorced. Sad, that. I do still love him, but ONLY as the father of my baby. Better to keep it civil, hurts the child(ren) less that way, but is oh-so-hard to do sometimes.

stuff
Well it is almost Feb!! Can you believe it!! The weather has been SO mild, unbelieveable! The ONLY real bad weather of the whole winter so far was *just* when Jimmy came down...He had a rough trip, if he was not a "Northern Boy" who knows all too well how to drive in snow and on ice he would never have made it!!
One of these days I will take the camera and go outside and take some pics for y'all.
I took my nails down, they were breaking and it hurts when a very long nail breaks, especially the one that broke below the quick...I'll grow them again, but I do notice that my typing is better now that I'm not typing from across the room and can actually feel the keys ROFL!!!
Robbin LOVES his tire swing So much that Rob had to put one of his heavy logging ropes on it to make sure Robbin does not end up on his keester...
Happy Sunday All

Ok, they have changed the whole thing. I *hope* I'm adding to MY blog.
I spent about two hours doing prep work on dinner tonight, and I realized that, although Jimmy brings home massive amounts of food, I was making this food for the people I love, not just for whomsoever pays $$ for it. And of course the ol' MS crap hit, and I still have not eaten the food I so carfeully created for my loved ones. At one point Rob came in before I could hide my tears, and as the wonderful man, and husband, and friend, he is, he didn't say anything, just hugged me till he knew I was ready to resume. He said dinner was wonderful, I guess I should go and try to eat. After all, I made potatoe crusted pork chops and swiss chard, gotta eat sometime

just general rambling, might be long, might not be
All kinds of things have been happening lately, I will try to include them all, I might, no, I *will* undoubtedly ramble...try and keep up...:-)
Ok, well, we took Robbin to the Dr the other day, at 8, he is 88 lbs and 4 1/2 Ft tall and so, SO healthy the Dr finally said "I have to go, there are REAL sick people out there I need to see" ROFL. I went to a new Neuro yesterday, he was not the kinda guy one would ask about LDN, so I didn't, but he will help he in other ways, help me get a scooter or a whatever. Now that is something, I have been running away from "wheels" all my life in one way or another, and now it seems i'm going to have to have them. It always seems to me to be "giving up" to get a chair or a scooter, yet I cannot walk anymore, not for any distance, even going to the car is a task, and extremely painful, but I DO it. I know I have asked others on my MS lists, and they tell me I am not giving in or giving up, and my quality of life will not be forefit but improved. Still...
Oh yes, when we moved we didn't tell Mike about it. Rob went over the other day to get him and Tara (much improved with medication, TG) for a small "cookout", he told Mike that we've "done alot of changes to the place". Well, when he pulled up here and said We're Home Guys, I thing it took some time for either of them to believe it, Tara prides herself on being SO enlightened, but the ol' green-eyed monster took her over with this place, I cannot tell you HOW many times she said she wants to move in here with us, (Mike too), how many times she said how easily she could
"see herself" in one place ot another of the house or the grounds, it got so that poor Mikey was embarrassed and saying "Tara!!! Please!!!" to which we just smiled and said well....we SO understand...
We also had our dear friend Paul over for dinner. Twice. *grin*. He is a wonderful guy, I've known him for a LONG time, he is, I believe, Senior Historian at Antietam Battlefield. He is such a font of knowledge, it is hard to believe. If he *doesn't* write at least one book about it I'll go into the Astral and kick his arse back till he does ROFL!!! That much knowledge should NOT die with one person. His brain is astonishing.
I think I'm out. for now. More later

Pics
I will take more pictures when I have a nice, sunny day to take them, the ones I just posted are the ones Rob took when we first saw the home. Needless to say it looks a bit better with furniture! And there's a crackling fire in the fireplace now, too :-)
The move went very well, the guys did an awesome job of moving it all in one trip! We rented a huge truck for it, and they worked hard all day! I am having a wee bit of an exascerbation from it all, legs are not working very well, I assume that wil improve. I have an appt. with a new Neuro on the 24th. YAY!

Moving
Ok, the pic of a fireplace down below, is indeed our new fireplace in our new home, to which we are moving on Monday. Thing is, *I* did not post it, Robbin did! I did't even know it was there until a friend pointed it out! Rob took some pics of the place for me, so I could see if it was something we wanted to look into, which, since we're moving there in three days, I guess you could say we did! Jimmy has cast his lot in with ours, and by combining our resources we can afford this wonderful new home. It is 5 br, 2 2/1 ba, old but not *that* old, HUGE brick and stone house, in the country, NOWHERE NEAR trains of any sort!!! It is, though, just off I-81, so it will not be totally quiet but after a year of trains and train horns, a little interstate noise will not even be an issue. And the place is so big and so solid that, when inside, you can't hear the traffic at all. It has, as you've seen, a fireplace, full basement, full attic (wood lined), big, bright kitchen with a huge pantry, side-by-side fridge with icemaker (YAY), we'll have high-speed cable there just as we have here,+3 acres of land. We can have chickens and guinea fowl, and rabbits, and grow a huge garden! Jimmy works at a hotel restaurant and brings home food every night, so our food needs are very small, just things like bread, milk, eggs, rice, veggies, salad stuff, alot of which we will grow/harvest ourselves next year. He brings home things like chicken, pork chops, meat, fish...all I need to cook is the side dishes. The home is right on Rte 11, exactly midway between Martinsburg and Hagerstown, so for shopping and general running around I can go in either direction. I am really excited about this move. We're going to start a Healing center there, do things like drumming circles and healing circles and prayer circles and all kinds of circles...Jimmy is also a tattoo artist, so we'll set up a room for his studio, the full basement will be the perfect workshop/forge for the guys, the kitchen will be perfect for candlemaking!! I'm going to get some salt lamps for the place, I'll even have them to sell. Our website has a link to them if you want to know more about them.

Plus, Jimmy didn't come down here alone, he brought his dog, a Massive Akiba named Thunder. He also brought two full sets of Armor to sell, and some Damascus knives, a few of which we have already sold on eBay! He and Rob are going to have the workshop set up to make more armor, and more Damascus, as well as jewelry and other things, it will be a well-rounded lot of goodies to offer to boost the ol' income a bit :-)
Well, off to resume packing (ok supervising the packing).
