I am 60, have MS, am an avid cook, love making candles (soy) and watching the endless parade of Nature outside my home. I treat the MS with supplements and LDN, I do not use any of the C.R.A.B. MS meds, we don't get along well. I was married for 13 years, we were together for 15. We are now divorced. Sad, that. I do still love him, but ONLY as the father of my baby. Better to keep it civil, hurts the child(ren) less that way, but is oh-so-hard to do sometimes.

Thanksgiving & stuff(ing)

Well we had a very nice Thanksgiving. I made a chicken instead of a turkey, I found a huge 7 lb roaster so I made that. It was fab! I also made sausage stuffing, from scratch, and yams, and gravy...all in all there was ample yummy for everyone's tummy! This morning the guys demolished the rest of the stuffing and gravy, I have the leftover yams to look forward to (good thing I like yams!) and a wee bit of chicken, that is unles they get to it first LOL
It is cold here, but then again it IS almost December! We are not all too trusting of the furnace in this place so we shut it off most of the time, run it for a bit in the morning to warm the house then shut it off and maintain the warmth with a couple of space heaters. This part of the house is SO drafty, there is always a "breeze" somewhere and there is a lot of Winter left before it gets warm again. We'll make it through, I do wish we had a few more space heaters, though...
Rob's 40th Birthday is Monday! My "old man" is getting old! (not really, he's still a spring chicken compared to this old hen)
My MS has been quiet, except for last week, I fell on Friday, outside on the sidewalk, banged my face up pretty badly. I looked like I had been in a fight, had quite the shiner! I am a quick healer so I'm already pretty much recovered, except for some pain in my shoulder where I put out my hand to stop my fall (unsuccessfuly) and my eyelid is still a bit droopy, I hit with my left knee and my right eye, square on the sidewalk...Thank G-D the cement cushioned my fall!!! I fell so fast that I don't really know if I just fell or tripped, the sidewalk there is very broken and uneven so that is the more likely of the two...But other then that little contretemp I've been doing quite well. Had a bit of an exascerbation a few weeks ago, mostly to do with my right side, but that seems better now. That was stress related.
On a good note George has decided against selling or demolishing the house, at least for now, of course he isn't making any improvements, either, so he's going to have to fish or cut bait soon or the house Will fall down, no big bad wolf required.
The trains last night were horrid, both Rob and I missed hours of sleep because of them! I can't WAIT to move, of course we're still trying to find a place to move TO, but that will happen, we have some possibilities we're hoping for.
'Nuff for now...

Sleep

AAAAhhhh last night I finally got a long, solid sleep. The night before I didn't get ANY. Why not, you ask? Well besides the noise from the trains, there was my sweet Rob...
He gave me a hug and said he was going to go upstairs and sleep in the guest room, because he was a bit congested and didn't want to keep me up with his "snorgling" I hugged him back and said "I'll miss you" which He interpreted as "Stay here with me", so he plopped into bed and within minutes had activated the Anti-Alien Abduction Device (AAAD), which sets up a sound barrier So strong even the Mothership can't get past it. So I got NO sleep. I even tried reversing myself in the bed, putting my head where my feet go, no use. In the morning he said I tried to go upstairs but you wouldn't listen to me, I said Next time I will listen to you so I don't have to spend the whole night listening to you! Gotta love him!!!
So I guess the sheep exhaustion finally kicked in and I was asleep before 10 and slept until 11.....A.M!! I do feel better though. I've been having a few MS problems, and seem to be finally coming out of that, too.

Latest

I Am feeling better. Robbin just had his 8th birthday, right before Samhain. He had a good day, and as you can see had a blast trick-or-treating! He went out early, when they came home he gave out the goodies as I cooked dinner. Then I was feeling saucy so I went and answered the door for some of the kids. They did their Trick-or-treak thing, and I'd look them over and say, in my best witchy voice, "Who are you and what brings you to my door?" I think the parents were more intimidated then the kids, who all stood up to me and informed me that it was trick-or-treat night! There was one little one who was just the cutest little guy...when he turned to go I called out to the parents "Can I keep him? I'm hungry tonight!" They laughed and said they might be bringing him by later LOL...and there was another kid who saw L'ilBit come up behind me and said "Oh what a cute kitty" I said "That's my dinner" He said "It IS?" and I said "Well, I Am a witch aren't I?" I *think* he knew I was kidding, the cops didn't come by...
While we await the Herkimer possibility, Rob has taken a new job, a fairly good one. It is maintenance at a large company in Hagerstown that doesn't advertise their jobs, but prefers to hire people recommended by their employees, and promote from within.Rob knows a guy who has been there for some time now, and when this job came open he asked Rob if he would be interested. So he said Sure and the guy put in for him to get it, he went for an interview this morning and called me on his lunch break! Not too sure what the name is, it's not a store or anything, I think they do some kind of bankcard processing. Anyway, I believe they were going to start him at 9 an hour but I need to find out from Rob is that is the case, if it is, well that will change alot of things in our lives, we won't need assistance anymore and that would be such a blessing! Oh yeah we'd still be able to get medical, too, another blessing. And he is going to look for a place in Hagerstown, so while we wait things out up North we'll be just fine down here. For right now we're just kind of taking things day-by-day. I must say that Herkimer would be more fun and hold vastly more promise, but at least I know that we'll be fine whatever happens. So we'll just wait and see what the future holds....
