YodaMamma MS & More

Location: Crescent City, Fl, United States

I am 60, have MS, am an avid cook, love making candles (soy) and watching the endless parade of Nature outside my home. I treat the MS with supplements and LDN, I do not use any of the C.R.A.B. MS meds, we don't get along well. I was married for 13 years, we were together for 15. We are now divorced. Sad, that. I do still love him, but ONLY as the father of my baby. Better to keep it civil, hurts the child(ren) less that way, but is oh-so-hard to do sometimes.

Phoenix the rescue kitty

This little kitten made her way into the back yard, and we fed her and finally gained her trust, now she sleeps with me every night and purrs her little self into oblivion! She was injured but is fine now, gaining weight daily and is the sweetest little thing!! Posted by Picasa

LDN news

The other day I was thinking about what changes might have come through the use of LDN, and I happened on one that was I hadn't thought of, something that left so subtly I didn't reallu realize it was gone...
It used to be that when I was cooking the toes on one or both feet would "disappear". Not go numb, but not be felt AT ALL, as if they simply were not there to begin with. Sometimes I'd get it a bit in my hands as well, but it was usually the first 1/3 of the foot, the toes and part of the foot. I don't get that anymore. Not even a little bit. And that I am sure is due to the LDN!
Now, for the reader who dislikes Pink, I looked and realized I didn't have to subject you, or me!, to it, and changed the template...is this better? :-D
The Sole is also making a huge diference.I used to have to chug down several handfulls of supplements every morning just to get through the day. No more! Even with this heat!
I take my sole, and 4 pills...cymbalta, amantadine, molybendum and TMG. And that's IT! WOW!
Well Rob is requesting tuna salad, so taa for now!!

Sole (Solay)

This one is going to be fairly long, so if you're easily bored, read on anyway, you just might benefit from it!!
Ok, to things, one, we all know I have MS. Two, we all know I love Salt Lamps. Now, how does that tie in and What is Sole?
After becoming an affiliate with the Salt Lamp people, I found that they offer many products other then the Salt Lamps. One of them is Bath Salts, another is Gourmet Salts, all made from Himalayan Salt. Now, Himalayan Salt is very Mineral-rich, as in 84 different Minerals. Sole is made when you take some of the salt and put it in water, where it sits and infuses the water with it's good minerals. When you take a spoonful of that water and add more water to it, making a somewhat salinated drink, you have Sole.
Being the curioius sort, I obtained some of the salt crystals and made some Sole. Well, Sole is supposed to put the body back in Balance. Now, one of the Hallmarks of MS is....crushing fatigue.
I was not expecting anything from the Sole, at least not the first day...but...I took it in the morning, like they say to, and that day I felt well enough to drive myself to Walmart, shop for a few hours (!), go to the regular grocery, shop there, drive myself home, make dinner...you get the idea...total energy!!!
Next day, same, I took it in the morning and was able to help Rob switch out stoves (the oven element had burned out and I had a spare stove in the barn, TG!), cook a chicken that Rob had butcherd (deeeelicious!!) and a Yorkshire pudding, steam some clams and shell them for clams and linguini tonight...you get the idea...again, total energy!!! I wasn't tired at all AT ALL!!!! Today is the third day on it and once again I feel awesome!!! I never realized what a difference it would make!!! Now, you ask, why must I get "special" salt, why can't I use Morton's (or whatever salt you get at the market), well, for one, that salt is stripped of it's minerals, and two. it often isn't even really SALT, read the label...it often is ALUMINUM, yes, the stuff they warn you away from as it can attribute to ALZHEIMERS. Did you know that?
Also, this was fun...on Iron Chef the other night the challenger had a big chunk of Himalayan Salt that he used in his cooking! He was doing Lamb, and he sliced some thin and placed it on the salt to "cure", then made some sort of sauce for it and served it that way...didn't even cook it but let the salt season and cure it to where it was edible...wow!!
