Mischief and more
Meet Mischief the goat. She is a 2 year old Oberhasli. She follows us around like a dog and is very very sweet, but she DOES live up to her name! I've never had a goat before, but I must admit I'm totally hooked! we got her through a freecycle type of ad, she was bound for the butcher if someone didn't step up for her, and of course we did, and couldn't be happier! And there was an extra bonus...we've become friends with the lady who placed the ad. By way of clarification, it was not her goat, she is the herdsman (herdsmistress?) and when the ranch owner decided to cut Mischief from the herd she placed a desperate plea, and it was that call that I answered. She makes awesome soaps from the goat's milk, and other goodies...I have connected her with another friend who runs a spa from her home, to sell her goodies there, talk about a perfect connection! And Rob is going to be doing healings there as well...AND we've got a salt lamp in there, and she might be using some of the Solay products in her work. PLUS, I've been making an arnica salve that I've been using for almost a year, so many people have told me I should package and sell it, that I went and ordered some jars and am going to put it out for sale in her spa as well...and I'm going to send it to some MS'rs, since I feel they could benefit from it (as I have).
Saturday is my 53rd birthday. we're having a party on Sunday, and everyone mentioned above is coming, so they'll all meet. I have the feeling they will also be instant friends...
