Happy Holy-Days
I know I haven't been posting much of late, I seem to go into winter hibernation mode, and haven't really had much to talk about. Well, except...Rob old friend Jimmy just got a divorce, after about 25 years. Sad, but they both do seem somewhat happier, we all knew they were only staying together for the kids, and I guess either they feel the kids got old enough to handle it, or they just could not stand to keep up the pretense anymore and felt the kids would be better of without it. Anywhoo, Jimmy has moved in with us. Now, Jimmy might have his flaws, and who does not? But he is a multi-talented man who is a real bonus to our household. For one thing, he is a professional chef, so finding a job was no problem. And he also has been doing most of the cooking around here, which I really appreciate. He knows so many recipies that it has been a very nice change to not eat MY cooking. Now, I *am* a good cook, but He is a *chef*, and there's a world of difference. He also is a very artistic man, and not only makes knives (some of which we've put on eBay, and already have sales) but makes armor, even brought two whole suits of armor, which will eventually also find their way to eBay. And as if that were not enough, he is a talented tattoo artist, and "cleaned up" mine, and is curently co-designing one for to have Robbin's name. He also cleans, and I have not had to do dishes since he got here! Not that Rob didn't usually keep after them, but this takes the strain off him as well. Rob is happy, he has his old buddy back, and if I had anything to complain about is that I don't see them often enough, since they're either at work, upstairs talking or down in the cellar making stuff. Yes, Rob is working again, part time, in the same place Jimmy is. So things are really looking up for us :-) Might be a Blessed Yule, a Happy Chanukah and a Merry Christmas 'round here after all!
