I am 60, have MS, am an avid cook, love making candles (soy) and watching the endless parade of Nature outside my home. I treat the MS with supplements and LDN, I do not use any of the C.R.A.B. MS meds, we don't get along well. I was married for 13 years, we were together for 15. We are now divorced. Sad, that. I do still love him, but ONLY as the father of my baby. Better to keep it civil, hurts the child(ren) less that way, but is oh-so-hard to do sometimes.

Nostalgia

I am sitting here listening to Rob Thomas, and thinking about MY Rob, and when we first got together.
I had a shop in Shepherdstown, WV, and he came in one day with Mikey (Yes, Unkle Mikey) and there was just....something about him. He is 12 years younger then I am, BTW. I didn't see him again until almost Spring of the next year. Many years later I recalled our first meeting, and came upon the date. Oct 29. Our son's birthday is...Oct 29.
When he came back in to my shop, my mother was tending shop that day and she recalled that he was dangerous (yes, he saved me from her, so he Was a danger to her and her control over me). He came back, again, and this time I was there. I had just come back from an SCA event in Hattiesburg, Miss, and was preparing to go to another in Ga. We talked about the event and I found myself saying "Would you like to come with me?" While the little person on my shoulder said "WHAT?!? You don't know this guy! He could be a murderer!" (He isn't) and he found himself saying "Sure, that would be great!" While *his* little shoulder person was saying "WHAT?!? You don't know this woman, she could be a murderer!" (I am not)
In the meantime, he had to go back up to NY to get his gear and check on his folk's house (now sold to the marina). When he came back down to go to the event, he as going to stay with us in our guest room. When he got back to WV, he came on to my shop, sword in hand, and got on one knee, planted his sword, looked me in the eyes and said "My sword and my service are yours, My Lady" *melt*swoon*gasp*LOVE!!!BOING!!! (I've always been a sucker for a man with a big....sword...)
So, now you know why we are still together, 13 years later (almost 14)
That night as he was sleeping in the other room I was getting all these feelings, so I went to his door, knocked and said "What are you *Doing* to me?" He grinned, and I practically dragged him to my bedroom, and thus ended 15 years of celibacy.
So know you...the rest of the story!!!
